We love Wii

11 Jul

So I know I made the right decision in my love for the Nintendo Wii.  They just announced some ninja games and accessories at the e3 conference.  Hope over to nintendo.com to check them out.

Antsy

Today I’m having a really hard time sitting still.  I haven’t been to the Gym in a long time, and I think my body is wanting to move really badly.  I must go tomorrow morning.  I MUST!

I can feel my muscles start to atrophie and my stomach is getting a little flabby again.  This schedule is killing me.  Kathy and I were talking about her picking up shifts and then me quitting Cutter & Buck.  And today that seems like a really great idea.  But I’m nervous that Kathy won’t be able to consistently pick up the shifts that we need.  We are praying about it.

It sure would be great to get my schedule back, and even if I’m not getting paid full-time from the church, working full-time for the church is better than splitting my brain in the middle of the day.

And if Kathy were able to pick up these shifts than I would be able to get to the gym more easily.  I think Judah will be at an age where the childcare at the Gym could watch him too, so that’s something to consider.  I don’t know, so many things going on.  So many decisions to make, so many bills to pay.  And on and on and on.

I guess the biggest hang-up with leaving cutter and buck would be the relationships that I’ve built here.  I’d really like to continue building these, and I really value being outside of my christian little bubble.  But I don’t know if I can continue this schedule much longer.

Pray for us.

Oh and while I have you let me post a picture of the cutest little kid in the world.

Going to the Gym

28 Aug

Tonight I will be going to the Gym.   I’m looking forward to this because quite frankly, I’m getting flabby.  I’m still losing weight slowly but I need to get this back into my life.  Ever since Judah has been born it’s been really difficult to get out of the house for my gym time.

Brenda, Kathy’s mom is going to come over and watch him while I go and work out.  She Rocks!   I’m tired right now but I’m so excited I can’t even explain it.

Last night >>beyond>> went well, and then we had a BBQ at our house.  It was just a quick hangout.   We played a brand new game called DarkMinton, it’s basically badminton in the dark, no net, and who ever drops the birdie is out and we rotate players through, it’s a fast paced game where only the strong survive.  It was actually a lot of just running around jumping and swining at things I couldn’t see.  It’s amazing what a little energy will bring to any event.

Summers almost over and with that the after parties will come to a close.  It’s sad to see them go but it’s been a really fun summer.

Tour de France Blues

5 Aug

So this Tour de France was one upset after another, it opened with many of the favorites being ousted for doping, and now it’s come to a close with another doping scandal.

I was so happy when Floyd Landis came back from behind to win! And now I’m bummed that it’s come out that his second test came back positive, you can read for yourself here.

I went to his website and it wasn’t respodning. So I don’t know if they took it down, or if it’s been overwhelmed with people trying to check it out.

But Oscar Perrero was a strong rider too, and if the Mayo Jean goes to Oscar then that’s cool, i guess.

What A Wonderful Day For A Walk . . .

3 Aug

and watching fighter jets fly over head at breakneck speeds.

Let me explain. Seafair is in full swing here in Seattle, and every year along with the pirate, the parade, the hydro planes, and the drunken boat parties the Blue Angels come to town. And with the blue angels comes the annual mid morning thursday traffic jame as the blue angels do their practice.

So this traffic jam was causing my bus into seattle to be late and I was going to miss my transfer. So I got off at an early stop and walked to work. And it was actually faster to walk to work this way than to go all the way downtown and wait for a transfer. Pretty stinking sweet. So not only did I get to enjoy the weather, and get some exercise in, I also got to watch the blue angels zoom over head and do some things that I’m pretty sure would cause me to wet my pants. Thank you Seafair for the inconvenience that turned out to be a nice stroll. Thank you.
