Today is a typical Seattle Autumn day, which means raining. Last night Judah slept better than he has for the past couple of nights so that was nice. I woke up with him and fed him, changed him put him back to bed. When I was done getting ready I decided rather than watching the news and the Today show I would focus, and get some much needed writing done.
I have been loving transit so far. Each week we have 9-12 folks meet in my living room and talk about Ecclesiastes. It’s not a feel good book by any means, but it’s got so much great wisdom and brutal honesty about life, that I can’t help but love it. So I wrote that discussion this morning. Something that I have to constantly remember is that less is more. If I can get the point that I want across with less words then it is better.
My writing music this morning is Greetings from Michigan from Sufjan Stevens.
I love Sufjan’s music, it’s very melodic and light. He is a musical genius and he takes elements from all over the board and weaves them into a beautiful song. I highly recommend it, you can buy it here.
I’m still working through Mark Batterson’s In A Pit With a Lion on a Snowy Day. Dang this is a good book. Go and buy it, and enjoy it.
Well today is Tuesday so that means staff meeting. It’s gonna rock. We just came off a really great Sunday Morning, we packed the house with friends day. I’ll write more about this later, I’m sure, right now, I need to finish my cofffee and go brush my teeth.
Happy Tuesday.
